My oldest son is Daniël, a most wonderful kid that is sweet and like to play outside in the garden. But he is also a bit of a daredevil. And as a mom I often give a kiss to make it better because he falls down or jumps on a wrong landing spot.
Last time that Daniel fell down the slide, he was so busy playing that he had no time had come to me for a kiss on the knee, so he grabbed his leg and try to give himself a kiss, and he said, it’s over now …
My work is done! Our tough, funny young man (2 years) no longer needs his mother for a kiss. We will see when he needs me again, but I feel that we didn’t got rid of him … and I can get back to work to be a proper mommy who kiss and makes better.
